Los Gatos, California

A place to love math.

We're a group of students who meet every week to work on problems we actually find fun. We try things, get stuck, argue about it, and figure it out together.

What is a math circle?

Mathematics the way it is actually done.

No lectures to memorize. We hand you a problem that looks simple, then follow your curiosity wherever it leads. Newer problem-solvers and seasoned competitors each work at the right level, in small groups around a table.

i.

Weekly problem solving

Themed sessions in combinatorics, geometry, number theory, and more, worked by hand, discussed out loud.

ii.

A competition team

For those who want it, we train together for the AMC, AIME, ARML, and HiMCM. Meet the team →

iii.

A real community

Curiosity is the only prerequisite. Come to be happily stuck for a while. Getting unstuck together is the point.

Meetings

Saturday mornings at the Los Gatos Library.

We gather weekly during the school year in the library's Teen Section. Your first visit is free and casual. Drop in, meet the group, and try a problem or two.
